One of the greatest problem in Awdal is the worsening of the environments and the impact on health, lack of drinking water and the lack of sanitation and hygiene. Many peoples in Awdal don't have access to clean water.

In Awdal, approximately 70% of all infected illnesses are cause by lack to water and bad hygienic circumstances. At the same time small rain fall, erosion, devastation and deforestation lead to the exhaustion of raw materials. Also deteriorated and less agriculture and livestock lead supplies shortage, with as a consequence under nourishment.
