Development Organization ADO

ADO is a Dutch organization that helps to develop the Awdal region in Somalia.

The organization aims to give to every child in the region the possibility to go to school. Because education in Awdal is the key to a better future and that possibility today is barely there.

Our organization works together with other regional NGO’s.

The purpose of the organization is:

• To deliver a contribution to the development of the region in general, and, more specifically, in the area of education.

Our working areas are:

• Education

• Health

• Economical development

Method:

The organization collects funds from donors within the Somali community and their Dutch friends.

At the same time, the organization pays, collects and ships goods that in The Netherlands are no longer in use.

The main activity is the payment of the salaries of the teachers.

As said before, the organization supports only projects that are initiated, planned and developed by local organizations.
